Self-charging solar house numbers that light up at night — no wiring, no plug, no switch. Built from stainless steel with an acrylic backing for a clean floating glow. Charges by day from the solar panel on the face, lights automatically at dusk, and shuts off at dawn. Three LED colors on a remote, dimmable, IP65 weatherproof. Sold per number — order one for each digit.
Integrated Solar Charging
The solar panel is built into the face of the number — it charges in daylight and needs no wiring, no separate panel, and no electrician. A 4–6 hour charge runs the light 8–10 hours overnight.
Automatic Dusk-to-Dawn Lighting
A built-in light sensor turns the backlight on at sunset and off at sunrise on its own. No app, no switch, no timer to set.
Three LED Colors on a Remote
Switch between warm white, neutral, and cool white with the included remote, and dim to the brightness you want.
Stainless Steel and Acrylic Build
Stainless steel body with an acrylic backing that creates a clean halo glow against the wall — the same construction as our custom illuminated numbers, not molded plastic.
IP65 Weatherproof
Sealed against rain, snow, dust, and UV, and rated from -20°F to 140°F for year-round outdoor use.
Floating Backlit Effect
Included spacers mount each number slightly off the wall, so the light wraps behind it for a floating glow at night.
Ready to Install
Ships with a paper drilling template, threaded mounting studs, and spacers. Tape, drill the marked holes, screw in, and mount — about 30 minutes, no wiring.
Size
8 inches in height (single number). One fixed size.

Construction
Each number is built in four layers: a solar panel face that charges in daylight, a stainless steel body, an internal LED strip with rechargeable battery and dusk-to-dawn sensor, and an acrylic backing that diffuses the light into a clean halo glow.

Does it really work with no wiring or electricity?
Yes — there's no wiring and no plug. The solar panel sits on the front face of the number and charges in daylight, storing energy in an internal battery. At dusk, a built-in light sensor turns the backlight on automatically; at sunrise it shuts off. A full 4–6 hour charge runs the light for 8–10 hours overnight. Because the panel is integrated into the number itself, there's no separate solar panel to mount nearby or wire in — which is the main difference between this and a hardwired sign. If your installation spot gets reliable daytime sun, it runs itself year-round with no maintenance beyond an occasional wipe of the panel face.
What happens on cloudy days or in winter?
The internal battery is sized for a full night's run from a single good charge, and it carries a buffer for overcast days. In long stretches of heavy cloud or short winter daylight, runtime can shorten — that's true of every solar address light, since they all depend on available sun. For installations in low-light spots (north-facing walls, heavy tree cover, deep porches), a hardwired option is the more consistent choice. Our hardwired Backlit LED House Numbers run on a 24V transformer for steady illumination regardless of weather, in the same stainless steel and acrylic build.
Is this one number or the whole address?
This is one number. Order one for each digit in your address — a home at 1424 would add four to the cart. Each ships as a complete, self-contained unit with its own solar panel, sensor, battery, and mounting hardware, so they don't need to be wired together or connected in any way. Buying them individually also means you can replace a single number later if you ever need to, rather than the whole set. If you'd rather have your numbers pre-mounted together on one panel, our Metal Backlit Address Plaque ships as a single finished piece.
What's included and how hard is the install?
Each number comes with a paper drilling template, threaded mounting studs, and spacers that create the floating backlit effect. Tape the template to your wall, drill the marked holes, set the studs, and mount the number — about 30 minutes for a typical address, no special tools beyond a drill. It works on wood, brick, stucco, metal, and stone. Because each number is self-powered, there's nothing to wire and no power source to plan around. The solar panel is built into the face of each number, so it charges all day and switches on at dusk on its own. A built-in sensor turns it off at sunrise. No wiring, no plug, no switch to flip — it runs itself year-round on free sunlight.
Built from stainless steel with an acrylic backing that diffuses the light into a clean halo glow — the same construction as our custom illuminated numbers. It holds its finish and shape through rain, snow, sun, and UV, where molded plastic numbers fade and crack.
Switch between warm white, neutral, and cool white with the included remote, and dim it to the level you want. Pick a soft warm glow to match a residential exterior or cool white for maximum visibility from the street.
